I recently had the honor of traveling to Miami, Florida for a wedding happening in Nassau, Bahamas. On my return I had a few days I was able to spend exploring Miami, it’s beautiful architecture and culture. I have always been fascinated with the story of Vizcaya Museum and having extra time before my flight I knew I wanted to photograph a bride at this venue.
Six months before my trip I started my journey to find the team I wanted to work with on this bridal session. I pulled my inspiration from the beautiful surroundings and setup my team for the shoot. I specifically hand picked these vendors, who are the best of the best in Miami, Florida. When selecting the gowns I knew I didn’t want to go for the “typical” gowns. In early 2015 I was able to photograph an intimate wedding in Austin, Texas. This particular bride wore a just released dress from BHLDN which I remembered having a unique look to it, the gown was made from Willow by Watters. Vizcaya Museum paired with the gorgeous gowns from Willow by Watters and accessories from Watters I knew this would be a match made in heaven.
Our bride had 2 different looks and I knew we had to find the perfect hair and makeup to fit the parts. I had searched hard and finally found the ladies at Marz Makeup and Hair who caught our vision and ran with it.
To finish off both looks we needed to incorporate all of the elements from the shoot with jaw dropping florals. I found Anthology Co. on Instagram and our personalities match perfectly. I showed her photos of the gowns, venue, bride, hair and makeup and asked if she could create something magical. Veronica and her team out did themselves with these amazing bouquets.
Below are a few of my favorites from our bridal session at Vizcaya Museum in Miami, Florida.
